Here in the UK we’re lucky enough to have a huge range of fantastic craft gins distilled on our doorstep, but for our September we’ll be going a little further afield, as we bring you one of our personal favourites, Death’s Door Gin!
Named after the Death’s Door passageway between Washington Island and Door County, Death’s Door is distilled in Wisconsin, USA, and made using wheat, barley and botanicals grown on Washington Island. Death’s Door Gin boats a London Dry flavor without the bitterness with a host of punchy botanicals including juniper berries, spicy, citrusy notes from the coriander seeds and a soft, cooling finish of fennel seeds. Big enough to stand up to classic or vintage cocktail treatment, but soft enough to be enjoyed on the rocks or as a dry martini it’s no surprise we’re big fans!
On Thursday 28th September we’ll be bringing Selina Raggett from Death’s Door to The Milk Thistle to talk us through how our American cousins do Gin, and for just £20.00* you can join us for an evening of tutored tastings, three expertly created Gin cocktails, light nibbles and straight Gin tasters. Selina will be on hand to answer all of your questions and our team will also be sharing their unrivalled cocktail knowledge.
Gin Club has been our most popular event all year, with tickets selling out in a matter of weeks every time, so if you’d like to join us for an evening of civilised imbibing we’d recommend you get your tickets fast here.
